Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Recallink ("Service"), operated by Recallink ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Recallink is a local-first personal relationship manager. You store contact profiles, interaction logs, and follow-up actions. Data is stored on your device by default. Cloud sync is available as an optional paid feature.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google OAuth. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for your account security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your Data

You own your data. We do not sell, share, or use your personal data for advertising. Your contacts, logs, and notes remain yours.

  • Local-first: Data is stored in your browser (IndexedDB) or device database. It never leaves your device unless you enable cloud sync.
  • Cloud sync: When enabled, data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security isolating your data from other users.
  • Export: CSV, vCard, JSON backup, Google Contacts export, cloud backup, and device migration tools require a paid subscription.

5. Subscription & Billing

The Service lets you read, add, and edit local data on the same device or browser for free. A paid subscription ($9.99/month or $79/year) is required for export features (JSON / CSV / VCF / Google Contacts), cloud backup, cloud sync, and device migration. Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel anytime from Settings.

  • No refunds for partial billing periods.
  • Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance.
  • Downgrade to free: local data remains on your device. Cloud sync is disabled and remote files are removed after a 30-day grace period.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
  • Attempt to access another user's data or circumvent security measures.
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Recallink name, logo, and software are our property. Your data and content belong to you. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service (sync, backup, display).

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for data loss, interruptions, or damages arising from your use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Deletion

You can delete your account from Settings. Upon deletion:

  • A 30-day grace period begins. You can cancel during this time.
  • After 30 days, cloud data is permanently deleted.
  • Local data on your device is not affected — clear it manually.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea. For EU residents, this does not affect your statutory rights under GDPR.
